Acer Palmatum ‘Bloodgood’ One of the most popular Japanese maples and deservedly so. This robust, upright tree has large, deep red leaves which push a bright red and mature to a deep, rich purple. Japanese Maple ‘Villa Taranto’

Villa Taranto Japanese Maple; An excellent linearlobum dwarf. Foliage comes out pink, goes to red, then to green, then to straw yellow. Fall color is gold. Slower growing than Red pygmy, but worth the wait. 30-36″ plant

Beni Maiko Japanese Maple

A variegated upright, brilliant salmon pink spring growth fading to mottled green. Excellent bright red fall color. Easily grown in moist, organically rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Mulch helps retain soil moisture and keep roots cool. Pruning is best kept to a minimum, but if needed should be done in late fall to mid winter. Spring or summer pruning often results in significant bleeding. 30-36″ plant

Acer Palmatum ‘Butterfly’ Japanese Maple

Very showy in Spring with strong overtones to the new growth, more pronounced in colder areas of U.S., handsome green foliage with white and pink variegation throughout the year. Best planted in light shade in warmer areas, forms crown 10-12′ high and wide.Distinctive 3” leaves, with five lobes, open like the palm of a hand and will occasionally have a slight twist as they emerge.  Sshrubby, upright stature reaches only 6-12’ in height; so it’s a great fit for smaller spaces, even in pots on the patio. 30-36″ plant
